The New England Patriots take the best regular season on the road as they travel to the Meadowlands to take on the New York Giants. The Patriots can set a bunch of records in this one as they need only six points to break Minnesota's single-season record of 556 set in 1998. In addition, Brady is one shy of Peyton Manning's NFL record of 49 touchdown passes set in 2004 and tied with Dan Marino's total in 1984 and WR Randy Moss needs one touchdown reception to tie Jerry Rice's mark of 22 set in 12 games in 1988. Last week the Patriots tied their NFL record of 18 consecutive regular season wins set in 2003-04. They also broke the league mark of 70 touchdowns in one season set by the 1984 Dolphins, reaching 71. QB Brady didn’t have the best of days last week as he was 18 of 33 for 215 yard, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. The New York Giants in danger of faltering down the stretch got it back together last week as they secured the #5 NFL Playoff spot when they beat the Buffalo Bills 38-21 to improve to 10-5 SU overall. The win was their seventh straight on the road and avoided a must win game this week against the Patriots. With the inconsistency of QB Eli Manning the Giants decided to try and run the ball which was something they had not tried to do the previous week versus the Redskins. However, this time it paid off as they rushed for 291 yards which was their most since they had 351 on Nov. 29, 1959. Manning continued to struggle as he was only 7 of 15 for 111 yards no touchdowns and two interceptions. Neither team really needs this one as far as their playoff position is concerned. However, New England will be looking to put together the only other unbeaten record in the history of the NFL. Recently the Pats have struggled versus the spread but are on a 10-2-1 ATS run versus the NFC. But the Giants chip in with a 14-4 ATS mark versus teams who average more than 350 yards per game. Will the Patriots make history in this game or come up one game short?
