I nailed a 7* winner on the Giants this last Monday night. I mentioned that the Giants really needed to play some focused football and they went out to a 30-3 lead. Now, some of that had to do with turnovers and a kick return for TD’s but they did execute at a high level. Now, it will be the Jets turn to do the same type of thing. The Giants have solved many of their starting and back-up roles during the last game and based on published reports in NYC newspapers their focus will be squarely on special teams.

Ai Simulator shows a 72% probability that the Jets will win this game by 4 or more points. Supporting this graded play is a system that has gone 23-7 ATS for 77% since 1998. Play on any team after scoring 14 points or less last game and is now facing an opponent after scoring 30 points or more last game. Jets are also projected to have an 84% probability of gaining 8 yards per pass attempt. The Jets are a remarkable 13-2 ATS (+10.8 Units) when they gain 8 or more net passing yards/attempt since 1993. Again, certain weeks of the pre-season correspond to a lesser focus on execution than others and the Giants display this phenomenon. Of note: The Giants will be focusing their offensive scheme around back-up QB Anthony Wright. He had a rough outing and it is obvious that he Giants need him and that back-up unit to get more game quality snaps in this game against the Jets. Based on the matchups, the Jets will be able to contain this offensive unit. For example, Wright made several poor reads and you can’t correct those in a week worth of practice.
