Villanvoa has had everyone tell them all year what they could not do but they have proven time after time they are worthy of this Final Four berth. The lesser known of the two Big East Final Four attendee's, Villanova coached by Jay Wright will be ready for UNC come Saturday! You can bet that everybody will be rooting for the underdog Wildcats and it might feel like a home game by the end of the night.
Oddsmakers have once again not shown much respect for this Villanova team as they have been made a +7 point underdog. But don't feel sorry for Nova as they play best as the underdog and you can bet they will once again play with a chip on there shoulders. Villanova is getting very little respect specially for a the fourth best team from the Big East and finishing 30-7 overall. Against the spread they have been up and down with a record totaling 19-14. But in the NCAA Tournament they are 3-1 ATS.
Coach Wright has turned over this team to his Junior PG Scottie Reynolds. Reynolds is the coach on the floor and even though he is not the leading scorer he is the one player that makes this team tick. When Reynolds is on his game Nova can and has beat all comers all year.
Villanova has turned up the defensive pressure since the NCAA Tournament started and no team has been able to score against the stingy defense. Offensively this team relies on team basketball with all five starters averaging over 9 pts per game. This team has realized that individually they are very talented but as a whole they are very special.
Not many teams ever get to the point where all players are all willing to give it all and play so unselfishly. Coach Wright has worked his magic and don't be surprised if this team does not have a couple more upsets in them this year. Villanova is the closest thing we have to a Cinderella and the Wildcats hope that the clock does not strike Midnight until late Monday!!
